Welcome to Fursuit Help!
This is a community-driven blog providing fursuit help and construction techniques. Your mods are Matrices and Mimblex, and while we will be offering our own critiques and help, the entire community is encouraged to help give advice, constructive crits, and resources!
Here is how you can participate!
Submit a post - By clicking the “submit a post” button on the left toolbar, you can submit your own WIPs, ask for critique, post tutorials, share tips, and so on. For critique- and question-based submissions, one of the mods will attempt to help first, then others can offer their help once it’s published.
Send an ask - Click “Ask a question” to sumbit text-based questions. The mods will respond first when it’s published, then others in the community can pitch in. If your question is too long or if you want to post it along with pictures, please use the “Submit” feature!
Reply with comments - Click the speech bubble icon at the bottom of any submission to leave a reply! Feel free to offer your own helpful comments on any community post. (If you’re new and the reply function isn’t visible or working, you may have to keep following the blog for at least two weeks first. This is a feature implemented by Tumblr that I can’t turn off, sorry!)
Reblog to reply - To leave a longer reply or attach your own images along with a reply (like for redline crits), reblog any post to your own blog first and offer your help! Particularly helpful replies will get re-reblogged back onto Fursuit Help for others to see.
Matrices and I have started a fursuit help & resources blog!! We were both craving a good resource for helping other fursuit makers in a more accessible social network location (since the other awesome resource out there, Fursuits on LJ, can be kinda isolated these days). Please check it out and consider participating if you’re into fursuit construction & techniques, I’m excited to help other makers!
here’s something I’d like to add about the bee post
several people have been appending “don’t buy honey” onto it and honestly, I’m not sure why, because beekeepers know when their hives can spare honey and when they can’t. beekeepers do not make a habit of starving their bees in order to get honey to sell!!
i don’t know where people are getting this idea. when you buy local honey from a beekeeper, you are supporting them so that they can bring more bees to your area. I have never heard of a beekeeper who is not in it for the bees. DO buy local honey, if you can.
